Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Architect to design, deliver, and support complex enterprise IAM solutions within cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Microsoft Azure and Okta, as well as a strong understanding of IAM protocols such as SAML, SCIM, OpenID, and OAuth. The IAM Architect will be responsible for creating and maintaining effective IAM architecture solutions, managing IAM projects, and aligning with industry best practices and the organization’s security policies.

Responsibilities

  • IAM Solution Design: Design, implement, and optimize advanced IAM solutions, focusing on scalability, reliability, and alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Protocol Expertise: Work with IAM protocols, including SAML, SCIM, OpenID, and OAuth, to ensure secure and seamless identity management across applications and systems.
  • Cloud Integration: Develop and maintain IAM architecture within cloud environments, especially Microsoft Azure and Okta, ensuring robust access management and alignment with SaaS delivery models.
  • Enterprise Security Alignment: Collaborate with the information security team to align IAM architecture with industry best practices, organizational policies, and emerging security threats.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Interface with senior stakeholders to communicate IAM solutions effectively, conduct presentations, and demonstrate domain expertise in enterprise architecture.
  • Roadmap Development: Review and manage the technical IAM roadmap within a cloud security context, ensuring alignment with long-term security and technology strategies.
  • Technical Delivery Management: Lead IAM project delivery, collaborating with key stakeholders to manage resources and meet project objectives.
  • Problem-Solving and Innovation: Proactively address issues arising from process challenges, technology changes, and emerging threats, offering innovative solutions and recommendations to enhance IAM capabilities. 

Must-Have Skills

  • IAM Experience: 5-10 years of experience in IAM solutions, particularly in designing, delivering, and optimizing IAM systems for complex, large-scale integrations.
  • Cloud IAM Expertise: Proficiency with IAM solutions within Microsoft Azure and Okta, with a strong understanding of cloud computing architecture and SaaS delivery models.
  • IAM Protocols: In-depth expertise in IAM protocols, including SAML, SCIM, OpenID, and OAuth.
  • Security Alignment: Ability to develop solutions in alignment with security policies, standards, and industry best practices for cloud services.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to present IAM solutions effectively to senior stakeholders, demonstrating expertise in enterprise architecture.
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

  • Emerging Threat Knowledge: Knowledge of emerging security threats and trends in IAM and cloud security.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Proactive and intellectually curious, with the ability to offer new ideas, challenge the status quo, and think critically.
  • Technical Roadmap Management: Experience managing technical roadmaps within IAM and cloud security contexts.
  • Process Improvement Skills: Experience identifying process challenges and implementing solutions to streamline IAM and security processes.
  • Adaptability: Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing needs and priorities.
