Job Description
We are seeking a skilled TIBCO Application Developer with extensive experience in the TIBCO product suite, specifically focusing on TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks, Enterprise Message Service (EMS), and various TIBCO adapters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting TIBCO-based applications, utilizing a deep understanding of protocols, web services, and integration patterns. The role requires a candidate who is adaptable and willing to support operational activities as needed, including occasional weekend work.
Job Roles & Responsibilities
- Application Development: Develop, test, and deploy integration solutions using TIBCO products, following best practices and maintaining a high level of quality.
- System Design and Impact Analysis: Design solutions with a thorough understanding of dependent technology interfaces and their impact on the integration environment.
- Web Services and Protocols: Implement and manage integrations using protocols such as SOAP, REST, JMS, HTTPS, and FTP.
- Middleware and Message Management: Work with TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks, TIBCO EMS, and adapters to manage message-oriented middleware and ensure smooth data flow.
- Monitoring and Support: Monitor system performance using tools such as TIBCO TE and Grafana, and support operational and maintenance activities as needed.
- Scripting and Automation: Leverage Unix scripting, SQL, and Java for automation, troubleshooting, and integration tasks.
- Version Control: Manage code versions using GitHub or Bitbucket for source control, ensuring code consistency and ease of collaboration.
Skills required
- TIBCO Product Suite Proficiency: 5 to 10 years of experience in application development using TIBCO products, including TIBCO BW 6.x, TIBCO EMS, and TIBCO Adapters (e.g., ADB).
- SDLC Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as it pertains to TIBCO-based applications.
- Protocol and Web Service Expertise: Hands-on experience with protocols like SOAP, REST, JMS, and FTP, as well as strong familiarity with web services and integration using XPATH, XML/JSON.
- Middleware Management: Skilled in using TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks, TIBCO EMS, and adapters to facilitate integration.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL, Java, Unix scripting, and working with multiple message formats.
- Version Control: Experience with GitHub or Bitbucket for version control.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring tools like TIBCO TE and Grafana.
- CI/CD Knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD frameworks to facilitate automated deployments.
- TIBCO Mashery and MFT: Knowledge of TIBCO Mashery and TIBCO MFT is a plus.
- Best Practices: Familiarity with TIBCO BW best practices for optimizing performance and scalability in a production environment.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: Ability to understand and address customer needs while adhering to TIBCO design principles.
